  • Set limitations to data processing, unless we are not allowed to delete your data due to legal obligations,

Purposes of data processing by the responsible body and third parties

We only process your personal data for the purposes stated in this privacy policy. Your personal data will not be transmitted to third parties for purposes other than those stated. We only share your personal information with third parties if:

  • You have given your express consent,
  • Processing is required to process a contract with you,
  • The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation,
  • Processing is necessary to protect legitimate interests and there is no reason to believe that you have an overriding interest in the non-disclosure of your data.

Collection of general information when visiting our website

When you access our website, information of a general nature is automatically collected by means of a cookie. This information (server LogFiles) includes, for example, the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of your internet service provider, and the like. This is solely information that does not allow to draw any conclusions regarding yourself.

This information is technically necessary in order to correctly deliver requested content from our web pages and is mandatory when using the internet-based services. This information is processed in particular for the following purposes:

  • Ensuring a smooth connection of the website,
  • Ensuring the efficient use of our website,
  • Evaluation of system security and stability as well as
  • For further administrative purposes.

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in the aforementioned data collection purposes. We do not use your data to draw conclusions about your person. The recipients of the data are only DIAS GmbH as responsible body and, if necessary, other processors of services.

Anonymous information of this kind can be used by us to statistically evaluate and optimize our internet presence and underlying technology.

Cookies

Like many other websites, we also use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files that are transferred from a website server to your hard disk. This means that we automatically receive certain data such as IP address, browser used, operating system and your connection to the internet.

Cookies cannot be used to start programs or to transfer viruses to a computer. Based on the information contained in cookies, we can facilitate navigation and enable the correct display of our web pages.

In no case will the data collected by us be passed on to third parties. Without your explicit consent, no link between these automatically collected data with personal data will be established.

Provision of paid services

For the provision of chargeable services, we will ask for additional data, such as payment details, to be able to carry out your order. We store this data in our systems until the statutory retention periods have expired.

SSL encryption

In order to protect the security of your data during transmission, we use the current state of the art encryption method (e.g. SSL) over HTTPS.

Contact

If you have any questions about any kind by e-mail or contact form with us, please give us your voluntary consent for the purpose of contacting you. To do this, you must enter a valid e-mail address. Your surname will also be required. When you indicate which of our test services you are interested in, this information will be used for the assignment of the request to other providers of the BITV-Test and for the subsequent reply. The specification of additional data is optional. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your requests as well as for handling any questions related to your request order. Upon completion of your request, personal data will be automatically deleted on the web server. 

Use of script libraries (Google Webfonts)

In order to display our content in a cross-browser and graphically consistent manner, our website uses script libraries and font libraries such as Google Webfonts (https://www.google.com/webfonts/). Google Webfonts are transferred to the cache of your browser to avoid multiple loading. If Google Webfonts are not supported by you browser, content is displayed instead in a standard font.

As out pages will request script libraries or font libraries, this will automatically initiate a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible that operators of corresponding libraries collect data.

Changes to our Privacy policy

We reserve the right to modify this privacy statement to comply with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, such as the introduction of new services. The updated privacy policy is valid for your visit again.

Retention requirements and data erasure

Once you have established contact with the company Dias GmbH or the project BIK via contact form or e-mail communication, your contact information is used for order processing, whether it is to answer your service requests, for the preparation of a non-binding offer, or for other kinds of order processing activities down the line. In the context of the legal obligation to keep business correspondence, e-mails are also stored. If you use the contact form, you hereby expressly agree to that retention. That does not negate your right to demand the deletion of your data at any time. We will be able to do this as far as the data is not subject to the obligation to retain your data for legal obligations.
